How do you guys plant my trees?
Planting large, mature trees requires specialized equipment, expert planning, and years of experience. Every installation is carefully planned to ensure each tree is transported, handled, and planted safely for long-term success.
Our experienced crews use a variety of heavy equipment depending on the size of the tree and the unique requirements of your property. This may include skid steers, wheel loaders, excavators, cranes, and other specialized tree-planting equipment designed to safely move and install trees weighing thousands of pounds.
Because no two projects are alike, we evaluate factors such as tree size, site accessibility, soil conditions, overhead obstacles, and existing landscaping before selecting the best equipment and installation method.

How much disruption or yard damage should I expect during large tree installation?
Our goal during every large tree installation is to complete the work with as little disruption to your property as possible. We take extensive care to plan equipment access, protect hard surfaces, and minimize the overall impact to your yard.
However, installing large, mature trees is a heavy construction process. In many cases, we are moving trees that weigh several tons using cranes, excavators, loaders, and other specialized equipment. This often requires excavation, soil movement, and temporary access across soft ground areas such as lawns.
Because of this, some disturbance to turf, soil, or landscaped areas is possible—especially in soft or limited-access yards.
That said, we always take precautions to reduce impact wherever possible. We make every effort to avoid driving heavy equipment on driveways, sidewalks, patios, and other hardscape surfaces to prevent cracking or damage. We also plan each job carefully to use the safest and least invasive access routes available.
Our focus is always the same: safely install your mature trees while protecting your property as much as possible throughout the process.
Do you remove the wire basket, burlap, and rope when planting large trees?
No—we do not remove the wire basket, burlap, or rope when installing large, mature trees.
These materials are specifically designed to hold the root ball together during transport and installation. Because we are planting extremely large trees that require stability and structural support, the wire basket and burlap help keep the root system intact so the tree can properly establish itself in its new location.
Removing these components can compromise the stability of the tree and may increase the risk of failure. For this reason, removing the basket, burlap, or securing materials will void our warranty.
Over time, the natural burlap and rope materials will break down in the soil as the tree establishes new roots. We recommend inspecting the base of the tree approximately one year after installation to ensure no remaining rope or material is restricting growth or causing girdling.
Our process is designed to give your tree the best chance of long-term health, stability, and successful establishment after transplanting.
Do you work with landscapers, designers, or contractors who only need the trees?
Yes—we regularly partner with landscapers, landscape designers, architects, and general contractors on projects that require large, mature tree installation.
