FAQ

Q

How large of trees do you plant?

A
large tree planting service

MASSIVE! HUGE! GIGANTIC!

We specialize in the installation and transplanting of large, mature trees that most landscapers and local nurseries simply can't provide.

Our large tree planting service focuses on trees that create an instant, established landscape. Deciduous trees are measured by their trunk diameter (known as caliper), while evergreen trees (conifers) are measured by their height.

We regularly install:

  • Deciduous trees: 6-inch caliper and larger (typically 25–35 feet tall)
  • Evergreen trees: 15–40 feet tall

These aren't the small trees you'll find at a garden center—they are the largest professionally planted trees in the United States. Whether you're looking for immediate shade, privacy, curb appeal, or a dramatic landscape transformation, our experienced team has the equipment and expertise to safely transport and install exceptionally large, mature trees nationwide.

If you're wondering whether your project is too big, chances are it's exactly what we specialize in!

Q

How much do these large, mature trees cost?

A

The cost of large, mature trees varies widely because every project is unique. Factors such as the tree species, size, number of trees, transportation distance, site accessibility, equipment requirements, and installation logistics all play a significant role in the final price.

Unlike planting small nursery trees, large tree installation requires specialized equipment, experienced crews, and careful planning. We often transport mature trees hundreds—or even thousands—of miles on full-size semi-trucks before using heavy machinery to safely install them. No two projects are exactly alike, which is why every estimate is customized.

The simplest way we can answer this without discussing your project, is this:

BIG trees aren't cheap.
Cheap trees aren't big.

These are the largest trees available for professional installation in the United States, and there's a reason they're so rare. You're not just purchasing a tree—you're investing in an instant landscape that would otherwise take decades to grow.

If you're looking for the biggest, healthiest, professionally installed trees available, you've come to the right place. Contact us today for a customized quote, and we'll help you find the perfect trees for your property and budget.

Q

Can you help me choose the right trees for my property?

A

Absolutely! Choosing the right large, mature trees is one of the most important parts of a successful project, and we're here to help every step of the way.

Some of our clients know exactly which tree species they want, while others simply know they want more shade, privacy, beauty, or curb appeal. That's where our expertise comes in.

We provide professional tree selection consulting to help you choose the best mature trees based on your property's soil conditions, climate, available space, desired appearance, maintenance preferences, and budget. Whether you're planting a single statement tree, creating a privacy screen, or designing a large commercial landscape, we'll recommend trees that are both beautiful and built to thrive.

This can often be done virtually. However, for a fee, we do provide in person consulting as well.

Our goal is to help you make an informed decision so your investment provides lasting value for decades to come.

Q

How do you guys plant my trees?

A
Tree planting equipment

Planting large, mature trees requires specialized equipment, expert planning, and years of experience. Every installation is carefully planned to ensure each tree is transported, handled, and planted safely for long-term success.

Our experienced crews use a variety of heavy equipment depending on the size of the tree and the unique requirements of your property. This may include skid steers, wheel loaders, excavators, cranes, and other specialized tree-planting equipment designed to safely move and install trees weighing thousands of pounds.

Because no two projects are alike, we evaluate factors such as tree size, site accessibility, soil conditions, overhead obstacles, and existing landscaping before selecting the best equipment and installation method.

Whether we're planting a single mature tree at a residence or installing dozens of large trees for a commercial or municipal project, our goal is the same: a safe, efficient installation that gives your trees the best possible start and creates an instant, established landscape.

Q

How much disruption or yard damage should I expect during large tree installation?

A
tree planting near me

Our goal during every large tree installation is to complete the work with as little disruption to your property as possible. We take extensive care to plan equipment access, protect hard surfaces, and minimize the overall impact to your yard.

However, installing large, mature trees is a heavy construction process. In many cases, we are moving trees that weigh several tons using cranes, excavators, loaders, and other specialized equipment. This often requires excavation, soil movement, and temporary access across soft ground areas such as lawns.

Because of this, some disturbance to turf, soil, or landscaped areas is possible—especially in soft or limited-access yards.

That said, we always take precautions to reduce impact wherever possible. We make every effort to avoid driving heavy equipment on driveways, sidewalks, patios, and other hardscape surfaces to prevent cracking or damage. We also plan each job carefully to use the safest and least invasive access routes available.

Our focus is always the same: safely install your mature trees while protecting your property as much as possible throughout the process.

Q

Do you remove the wire basket, burlap, and rope when planting large trees?

A

No—we do not remove the wire basket, burlap, or rope when installing large, mature trees.

These materials are specifically designed to hold the root ball together during transport and installation. Because we are planting extremely large trees that require stability and structural support, the wire basket and burlap help keep the root system intact so the tree can properly establish itself in its new location.

Removing these components can compromise the stability of the tree and may increase the risk of failure. For this reason, removing the basket, burlap, or securing materials will void our warranty.

Over time, the natural burlap and rope materials will break down in the soil as the tree establishes new roots. We recommend inspecting the base of the tree approximately one year after installation to ensure no remaining rope or material is restricting growth or causing girdling.

Our process is designed to give your tree the best chance of long-term health, stability, and successful establishment after transplanting.

Q

Do you work with landscapers, designers, or contractors who only need the trees?

A

Yes—we regularly partner with landscapers, landscape designers, architects, and general contractors on projects that require large, mature tree installation.

We view ourselves as a specialty partner, not competition. Our company focuses exclusively planting large-caliper deciduous trees and mature evergreen trees that require specialized equipment and experienced crews. Because of the size and complexity of these installations, many industry professionals bring us in specifically for the tree procurement and planting portion of their projects.

While we do not sell trees as standalone products or handle typical landscaping services, we frequently collaborate with contractors who want to include large tree installation expertise in their own work. These partnerships are common and seamless, and there is no conflict of interest with your ongoing or future landscaping projects.

In short, we do not compete with landscapers—we support them by handling the most technical and specialized part of the job: planting the largest trees available in the United States.
