FAQ

Q

Do I need to be home when my tree is planted?

A

This is completely your choice. Nearly 70 % of the projects we plant are while the homeowner is gone.

Q

What if I come home from work and I do not like my tree?

A

If this were to happen it would be the first time! But it is possible. Even with great care something can get missed.

We will come out and inspect the tree and we will make it right. Even if we have to replace the tree.

Q

What happens if I cannot decide what tree to buy or where to have it planted?

A

We will help you. Depending on the issues we can talk over the phone or make arrangements to meet at your project. Sometimes an emailed picture of your site is all we need. Just give us a call and we will work together.

Q

What if I mark a location but it is wrong? In other words the spot is too wet, too dry, too shady or too sunny for my new tree?

A

All of our professional installers are trained to identify poor planting sites. When your tree is clearly not in the right spot we will stop and call you. Normally we can solve the issue quickly over the phone. Our site selection guidelines that will come in your planting packet make this an extremely rare occurrence.

Q

Who will plant my new trees?

A

We do! All of our staff have been trained in proper planting techniques and care. We will not sub-contract any planting services.

Q

How badly will you tear my yard up?

A

Our goal is to get in and out without a trace. When conditions are wet we will move the trees and dig the holes by hand. Most traces left behind are invisible within a week.

Q

Do you remove the wire basket, burlap and rope when you plant trees?

A

We do not. Our trees are large and require stability. The wire basket, burlap and rope are designed to hold the root ball together until new roots can securely support the tree. Removing these components will void our warranty. It is important to inspect the base of the tree after one full year to ensure the rope has rotted away and does not girdle the tree.

Q

What if I want to save money and plant my own trees?

A

You are welcome to plant your own trees however we cannot warrant them. Our trees are big and heavy. Unless you have experience and or equipment the odds of you damaging the tree, planting them in-correctly and or hurting yourself are very high. Most customers do not like the risk vs. reward ratio. However we do admire adventurous do it yourself types and will guide you as best we can.
